What sets us apart
Most window firms stopped using putty. We didn't.
Linseed oil putty is bedded by hand, knifed to a clean bevel, and then left to skin before it can be painted. A pinned timber bead takes minutes and needs no waiting. That is the whole reason most of the trade moved away from putty — not because the bead is better, but because it is quicker.
It is also why other window companies bring their heritage work to us. A homeowner may not spot the difference between a putty line and a bead. A conservation officer does, and so does the firm that has just been asked to match one.
Who does the work
A small team, and no one else
The person who measures your windows works with the people who build them and the people who fit them. Nothing is passed to a subcontractor along the way, which means there is no point in the job where nobody is quite sure who is responsible.
